  • Senior positions with companies such as Grupo Mexico (Cananea Mine), Phelps Dodge Corporation (Santa Gertrudis Mine), Eldorado Gold Corp. (La Colorada Mine) and an active participant during the construction and start up of other mine operations such as Magistral Mine.
  • Currently acting as an independent consultant for mining companies in Mexico.

    Jerry W. Baughman, BSc, PGeo
    Independent Director
    Mr. Baughman is a professional geologist with a BSc degree in geology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and has over thirty years of experience in mineral exploration in the United States, Mexico and South America. From 1990 to the present time, Mr. Baughman has been based in the Reno area and has worked as an independent geologist evaluating gold and silver properties. From 1991 to 1994 he worked as an exploration manager- USA for Southwestern Gold involved in precious metal exploration and oversaw all exploration and development projects and evaluated all property submittals for the United States. During 1990, Mr. Baughman worked as a consulting geologist for Cambior (U.S.A.) Inc. conducting numerous property examinations. Since the fall of 1994 Mr. Baughman began acquiring gold properties in North and South America for himself. He has leased properties to most of the major mining companies and to a host of juniors.

    Jerry was an integral part of Fronteer Gold¹s business development team, managing the Nevada Eagle property portfolio. During this time and previously with Gryphon Gold Jerry brought in several JV partners to explore the Nevada Eagle portfolio. See Gryphon Gold News Release (July 2007).

    Jerry is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with the American Institute of Professional Geologists (since 1997), a graduate of University of Nevada with degrees in geology and economic geology. He is a member of the Geological Society of Nevada (GSN), a member of the Nevada Petroleum Society (NPS), a member of the Society of Economic Geologist (SEG), a member of the British Columbia & Yukon Chamber of Mines, and a member of the Prospectors and Developer Association of Canada (PDAC). He is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Jerry owns one of the largest privately held mining databases covering hundreds of Western US mining projects.
